Friday Encouragement: The Lord Is Always Before You

As I sit here this morning watching the sunrise over the land and the thought of the inauguration of Trump into the White House tonight, I begin to think what does the future hold for the world? Sometimes we find ourselves stressing and worrying about how things will turn out, but all in all it really does not matter. Why does it not matter? Because the Lord is always before us, guiding us and protecting us.

“I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.” (Isaiah 45:2-3 NKJV).

When we put our full trust in the Lord we then have nothing to fear as He goes before us and makes the crooked places straight. No matter what position you may be in today always remember that the Lord is with you and will guide you to where you need to be. Most people today are fearing due to high tensions throughout the world, but I got some good news, God is with us and is moving before us! Therefore there is no reason to fear, but to only live in faith.

The crazy thing about it all is the fact that even death itself should not even scare us as the Lord is before us even through death itself. When we die we will be greeted by the Lord with open and welcoming arms, ready to lead us to our new and permanent home with Him forever!  And this is why a personal relationship with God is so important in the Christian life as we need to know God and walk with Him each in every day, being sensitive to His Spirit to know that He is always with us and for us wherever we go.

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39).

Heading into the weekend remember that God is for you, so who or what can be against you? Do not worry about tomorrow, next week or next year, but always keep your sights set on Christ and keep sensitive to His Spirit as He leads you through this life unto the next. God is good all the time as He goes before you to make the crooked places straight and to cast down your enemies. Have a wonderful weekend and God bless!
