Three Things To Help You Improve For The New Year 2017

Another year has come and gone with a lot going on world wide. A new president has just been elected, stock markets are up, terrorist are on the rise and technology is rapidly evolving into the terminator, but with all that is going on in the world the real question to ask is, “What in the world is going on with you?” A lot is changing for both the good and bad, so where do you stand? Are there changes going on in your life? Are they for the better or worse? Here is a short list of three things in your life to change for the new year that will help you grow and reach your full potential in life.

  • Don’t Stop Believing: An inspirational song sung by the forever loved band Journey, but it is not just a song, it is reality. You can not stop believing in what you feel called to pursue. No matter how tough they were in 2016 remember to not stop believing, but to keep faith and keep pursuing the dream that the good Lord has put within your heart. The key change here is to put doubt and fear out of your mind and put faith in its proper place. It does not matter how many times you have fallen, change your attitude of doubt into faith and watch what the Lord does in your life for 2017.

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24 NKJV).

  • Change The View: In order to excel in 2017 you need to change your view of life. Change your view of the so called negative as well as the positive. Look at everything in life through spiritual eyes and see the work that the Lord is doing in your life whether good or bad. God is always working for our good to bring Him glory, and so we must look at everything going on around us as means which the Lord is leading us to where He wants us to be, whether we fully understand what He is doing or not. When you change your view the world around you becomes much different than it was before. Just got fired from your job? Ask the Lord to give you wisdom and understanding to know what He is doing and ask Him to bless you with a new one, and more than often you will find yourself in a better position than before as God leads you to greater heights and ultimately bringing Him glory and pleasure.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28).

  • Take A Leap Of Faith: Has there ever been something you have always wanted to do, but have felt to afraid to go for it? Maybe you want to quit your job and pursue the dream you have always dreamed of doing. Maybe you want to move somewhere, but have felt that you could not do it. Go ahead and take a leap of faith and go for it! Ask God to help you along the way and if you truly feel called to make a big change for 2017, then go for it and hold nothing back while doing it! Too many times we find ourselves in the same old rut, doing the same old thing. No matter how much we change within we still feel emptied. At this point it means it is time to change your surroundings and go for what you feel deep inside. When we do not satisfy the calling deep within, we then kill a little part of ourselves that takes away from truly living life. God did not call us to settle, but to excel. He did not call us to just survive, but to thrive! Take a leap of faith and see where the Lord leads you.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11).
