God has a plan for your life. In fact God has a plan for each and everyone of our lives and it is up to us to take a hold of it and move forward in faith and power. Something that seems to hang a lot of people up when it comes to God’s plan for their life is that they believe it will be at least somewhat easy due to the fact that it is God’s plan and not their own. But the truth is that is not easier and in most cases it is more difficult.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13 NKJV).
More difficult? You might be asking this question as you read and I say yes, more difficult. The reason being is the fact that we are in a daily battle with unseen forces between God and His army and the Devil and his army. The Devil will try everything he can to trip us up and cause us to not accomplish the plan that God has set out before us. It is our job to keep going even when the Devil does trip us up from time to time.
“For a righteous man may fall 7 times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity.” (Proverbs 24:16).
Not only do we have the Devil to contend with, but we also have our own weak flesh that tries and rationalize why we should give up and how much easier and better it would be to just sit back and do “our own thing.” The reality is that our flesh is deceived by it’s own sinful nature and we must recognize this weak link and attack it with the word of God anytime it decides to sneak into our minds and whisper soft tones of giving up.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10).
We must not give up on the plan of God for our lives, but keep moving forward in His Spirit and power knowing that He will help us and upholds us all the way to the end. We must not get discouraged by situations, people, the devil and his group or even our own weak minded flesh that tries to keep us back from pursuing the extraordinary call of God.
We are here to represent the Lord in every area of our lives, giving everything over to Him while holding nothing back and with this we must not give up, but keep our heads up while looking forward to the reward that awaits us at the eternal home we will one day be with our loving Father and savior Jesus Christ.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11).
